pdate: Patch 10.3 hasn't nerfed Funnel at all, you just need to farm jungle camps more than lane. Hi everyone, my name is Silencee, and I have written for you exclusively the ultimate and only guide for funnelling you will ever need. I will start by introducing myself with a small montage video! Introduction I’m a Master Yi main since season 4 but have only started taking ranked games seriously in season â , where I have reached Master with a 60~ % Winratio on NA. At the start of season 6, I found interest in funnelling and have been abusing it and mastering it since with pretty high success. As of now, I still tend to funnel lots of games. I am among the highest ranked and best boosters for PumpMyElo, and I boast the highest win ratio across all the divisions, I have also recently started streaming! Regarding my achievements, I have been the guy with the most Pentakills on Yi Rank 1 Yi world Season 8/9 #1 Rank EUW/EUNE/TR most of the time Master Euw with 90% Win ratio Season 10 EUW Challenger and of course, I have destroyed lots of pros on my path to glory, such as Rekkles, Caps, Wunder, and many more! Some may say I have mastered the champion and the funnel strategy ;) yi Funnel Now I assume all of you reading this are aware of what “Funnel” is but might have found it challenging to execute it efficiently and correctly. To begin with, there are multiple ways of implementing this strategy, including different champions not limited to Master Yi- you can use Kassadin too! The strategy tends to differ from playstyle to jungle clear preference and game changes that you need to react to in real-time.
I will explain to you my execution of this strategy with which I have been achieved the best results yet- it basically comes down to power farming and getting your core items early, allowing you to destroy opponents with your Taric slave very quickly. Clear route 1 Firstly, you ALWAYS tend to start on your Red Buff (blue side), your botlane (and) Taric helps you do it, so you get a faster lead on your Jungle clear than the enemy jungler. Afterwards, you do Krugs, and you optionally may gank bottom lane for a level 2 cheese, which I do not recommend since I have been getting bad experiences with it (failing to get a kill, botlane not reacting, enemy jgl having the vision of you to counter your jungle and lots more..). So aside from this risk, after you do your Krugs, you head to Raptors, where your Taric duo should be level 2 already (in most cases, depending on midlane matchup). Taric should skill E first and W on level 2. Now, if you do your raptors, you may get as close as you can to the top wall, so Taric is able of putting his W on you for a free Guardian proc which makes it easier to clear the raptors and helps you through your jungle path without losing as much health. Therefore, Master Yi should go midlane clear the wave and head back to his upper jungle with Taric(optional but I prefer this way), who helps Master Yi clear the top jungle as soon as possible. You both do the crab after and head midlane, clear the wave again, clear your golems alone (they spawn when your mid the second time), clear your raptors and recall. Now, if you see any kill potential, you should go for the kill since a lot of players disregard the kill potential of Taric/Yi, which makes it easy to punish. You just have to stick to this jungle path and try to roam with your taric always together (usually after mid-wave is shoved in) To summarise, your jungle route should look like this: Red Buff Krugs or Botlane Gank Raptors Farm or Kill midlane Clear Blue side of the jungle + Rift Scuttler with Taric Farm or Kill midlane Krugs, raptors, and recall Clear Route 2 First Taric can play with Smite and Exhaust or Heal/Exhaust there is two different Types and Both working well, Start at your blue side Side Clear Gromp with Taric(Smite Optional) then go for Wolves with Taric Head to Mid Lane clear the wave Then move to Raptors, Then Red With taric Help Then back to mid push the wave with Taric to Enemy mid Lane and go for 1 Crab but be aware and check map if enemy Bot lane or Top is coming for you, Pay attention Because this Strategy is weak early, but after Kassadin head LVL 11 Game Over Well Lets Continue Taric can Back to Mid lane after the Crab and Kassadin Head to his Gromp and Wolves clear then recall and go Mid Clear the wave with Taric.
To summarise, your jungle route should look like this: Blue Buff Gromp Wolves Clear The Mid Wave Clear Red side of the jungle + Rift Scuttler with Taric Farm Gromp, Wolves, and recall Master Yi Master Yi is the best fit for this strategy since he is fragile early on in the game and lacks the utility + is dependent on his jungle. This strategy allows him to clear his jungle as fast as possible + take the mid-wave every time, which enables Master Yi to snowball as great as ever! He is also easy to play and is a solid late game. Master Yi Build As of season 10, you always want to build these items no matter what, Guinsoo is just too strong to ignore and any other build is much weaker. Conqueror - Bloodrazor, Guinsoos, Wit's End, Sterak's, Stopwatch/GA/Randuin/Mercurial Scimitar Tips You always need to make sure to have control of the enemy jungler, and it’s jungle pathing so you can initiate a lot of invades/counter ganks with your taric duo but also warn your sidelaners from eventual ganks. Always make sure to follow your jungle clear to not fall behind throughout the game. Prioritise yourself over your teammates. I’d suggest playing a passive early game until you get your Bloodrazor/Warrior’s Blade. You should also have enough knowledge regarding jungle/mid matchup in case they tend to force 2v2s and whether you win those or not. I’d also recommend always to gank bot since better bot always wins :) Kassadin Kassadin is the most influential late-game assassin in the game. He scales so well that he can oneshot literally everyone, including tanks. It's not uncommon to Riftwalk onto an adc, killing it, then auto-attack support, killing it too. Kassadin's mobility allows him to clear jungle extremely fast in the mid-game and also kill anyone who's even slightly out of position. With the amount of mobility you have, 99% of deaths you have were preventable. You just made a mistake. A funnelled Kassadin can easily win two vs eight. Kassadin Build To find our correct build path, we will need to check out all the champions in the enemy team before the game starts, and determine whether we should go for build one or build 2. Lots of Tanks & Heavy CC in Enemy Team > Conqueror - Runic Echoes, Sorcerer Shoes, ArchAngels Staff, LichBane, Mejai, Zhonya Squishies in Enemy Team>Electrocute- Runic Echoes, Sorcerer Shoes, ArchAngels Staff, LichBane, Mejai, Zhonya Tips You always need to make sure to have control of the enemy jungler, and it’s jungle pathing so you can initiate a lot of invades/counter ganks with your taric duo but also warn your sidelaners from eventual ganks. Always make sure to follow your jungle clear to not fall behind throughout the game. Prioritise yourself over your teammates. I’d suggest playing a passive early game until you get your Runic Echoes. You should also have enough knowledge regarding jungle/mid matchup in case they tend to force 2v2s and whether you win those or not. I’d also recommend always to gank bot And Play Around Drake soul.
Taric Taric is probably the most important part in this strategy and he is what makes it unique. Your job as Taric is not to die for no reason, farm midlane, get your level 6 as soon as possible and follow and support your funnel duo. You want to force objectives as soon as they spawn and you want to force dives on sidelanes, or keep killing the enemy midlaner if it is a weak early game champion. This is the setup you want to run. taric yi funnel Parting words Thank you for your time and reading this piece up to the end :) If you want to learn more about funneling and master it completely, feel free to purchase coaching from one of our funnel specialists!
